Fourth Quarter

Even though the fourth quarter is the shortest marking period, it truly feels like the longest and hardest to get through. This is probably because this is the quarter before summer break. I have a lot of plans already for my summer; those plans are competing for the attention that should be focused on my school work.

I believe towards the end of the year, many students focus on things other than school. Despite competing thoughts, I think the students at New Town High School should continue to stay focused especially since we have finals at the end of the school year.

Fourth quarter is also our last quarter before we advance to the next grade. So, for some people, the fourth quarter grade will determine whether they fail or pass some classes. Additionally, that fourth quarter grade impacts our overall grade point average. But, if we all just stay focused and maintain like we did during all the previous quarters, the school year should go by smoothly and result in a nice summer break.
